The City of Asheville announces the temporary closure of Hill Street starting May 7

Press release from the city of Asheville:

The Public Works Stormwater Division will close Hill Street from Montford Ave. down to 135 Hill St ( at the church and school)  to perform stormwater culvert replacements before a paving project. 


This nightly closure is scheduled to take place on May 7,  through May 13, 2023 (weather dependent)


Work will be carried out from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 .a.m.  in an effort to reduce the impact on the community. 


This will be a hard closure with no through traffic. There will be a signed detour, directing traffic to Courtland Avenue, for this closure. Please contact Stormwater Operations with questions at : 828-259-5973
