The Small Business Center at Haywood Community College to host free marketing summit series

The Small Business Center at Haywood Community College will hold a free Marketing Summit seminar series Thursday, May 23. Geared toward small business owners that are interested in getting more out of marketing, participants will walk through key marketing topics in hands-on workshops while learning how to maximize time, resources and strategy implementation. Seminars will be held on the College campus in building 200, room 206.

“Visual Marketing & Branding Essentials for Small Business” will be held 9-11 a.m. Explore options to help small business owners create consistency in their branding. Dive into colors, fonts, and best practices for the top social media outlets. Attendees should leave with a template for future projects, a profile photo and future marketing plans.

“Creating Eye-Catching Graphics for Small Business” will be held 12-2:30 p.m. Create a brand and captivating marketing materials that stand out in a crowd. Utilizing Canva to help you, attendees will create transparent watermarks for photos, and leave with themes for the next 90 days that will help them to target their marketing.

“Time and Money Saving Small Business Apps” will be held 3-5 p.m. Explore a host of business applications that can be used to make your day easier and help you stay focused on your small business tasks.

“Social Media Posting for Small Business” will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Learn creative ideas, content sources, and aid in automating some of your marketing to save you time. Small business owners should leave with at least 30 days of posting for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
