Timothy Murphy joins Patsy Keever in pledging a clean campaign

ASHEVILLE, NC—Yesterday candidate Timothy Murphy joined Patsy Keever in signing the Clean Campaign Pledge for the Democratic race for the U.S. House of Representatives in North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District.

“I’m really glad to have Tim joining me on this,” said Patsy Keever. “I believe the people of the 10th District want a constructive campaign that speaks to vital issues such as jobs, education, clean air and water and protecting Social Security and Medicare. This is definitely an encouraging step in that direction.”

With Mr. Murphy’s signature, two out of the three Democratic candidates in the race have pledged to run a clean campaign.

As Democratic primary candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives in North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District, we hereby agree that the people of this district deserve a positive campaign. They deserve a campaign on the issues most important to them – not one full of cheap, divisive attacks.

Rep. Patsy Keever (NC-115) is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District. Keever taught in the public schools for more than 25 years and served on the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners for 12 years. In 2004, she ran a spirited, grassroots campaign for Congress. In 2010, Keever was elected to the North Carolina House of Representatives from NC District 115.
