Town of Mills River announces closures due to flooding

News release from the Town of Mills River:

In light of the flooding ahead of Hurricane Helene, the Town of Mills River has announced that Mills River Park, Mills River Town Hall, and the Mills River Library will be closed today, September 26, 2024.

Additionally, tonight’s scheduled Mills River Town Council meeting at 6:30 PM at Town Hall has been canceled. The safety of our residents and staff is our top priority as we prepare for severe weather conditions.

We urge all community members to stay safe and take necessary precautions. The Town of Mills River will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as needed via our Facebook page and the Mills River website: www.millsriver.org.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. ###
