UNC Asheville hosts high school juniors for college preview open house

Press release from UNCA:

UNC Asheville will host Junior Preview Day on Saturday, Feb. 29, welcoming high school juniors and their families to get a head start on their college search.  Junior Preview Day is a free, open house experience designed for juniors, featuring the University’s academics, student life programs, and campus services.

Admission staff will provide valuable information on preparing an application for admission, financial aid and merit scholarships, as well as the qualifications UNC Asheville seeks in prospective students.

Students and families can also meet faculty and current students to learn firsthand about UNC Asheville’s liberal arts and sciences curriculum, undergraduate research opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences.

The program begins at 9:30 a.m. and finishes in early afternoon with optional campus tours. Families are encouraged to explore downtown Asheville, located two miles from campus, as well as the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains, and can stay for lunch on campus or in restaurants nearby.

A second Junior Preview Day will be held on Saturday, March 21.
