United Federal Credit Union offers meals and appreciation to ‘local heroes,’ including veterans, police, firefighters, medical personnel, emergency responders and teachers through Nov. 13

WHAT: United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) will show appreciation to local heroes by providing meals to a different group each day.

· Tuesday, November 10, noon. UFCU staff will deliver snack trays for approximately 65 staff members at Park Ridge Hospital and Pardee Urgent Care

· Wednesday, November 11, Veteran’s Day, noon. UFCU staff will serve lunch to approximately 30 men and women serving in the United States Armed Forces at the US Marine Corps Recruiting Station,16 Regent Park Blvd, Suite 16B, Asheville, North Carolina

· Thursday, November 12, noon. UFCU staff will serve lunch to firefighters at five locations:
* Edneyville Fire Department, Main Station, 1 Firehouse Road, Hendersonville, North Carolina (12 people)
* Blue Ridge Fire Department, Station 1, 2503 Old Spartanburg Highway. East Flat Rock, North Carolina (15 people)
* Hendersonville Fire Department, Station 2, 632 Sugarloaf Road, Hendersonville, North Carolina (15 people)
* Dana Fire Department, Main Station, 2001 Dana Road, Hendersonville, North Carolina (10 people)
* Mountain Home Fire Department, Station 1, 3710 Asheville Highway, Mountain Home, North Carolina (15 people)

· Friday, November 13, noon. UFCU staff will serve lunch to teachers and staff at the following locations:
* East Henderson High School, 110 Old Upward Road, East Flat Rock, North Carolina (110 people)
* North Henderson High School, 35 Fruitland Road, Hendersonville, North Carolina (85 people)
* Apple Valley Middle School, 43 Fruitland Road, Hendersonville, North Carolina (105 people)
* Dana Elementary School, 690 Ridge Road, Dana, North Carolina (85 people)
* Sugarloaf Elementary School, 2270 Sugarloaf Road, Hendersonville, North Carolina (75 people)
* St. Gerard House, 620 Oakland Street, Hendersonville, North Carolina (20 people)
* First Baptist Academy, 312 5th Avenue West, Hendersonville, North Carolina (10 people)

All veterans, police, firefighters, medical personnel, emergency responders and teachers are invited to stop by UFCU’s Hendersonville branch at 101 Jack Street during regular business hours, Nov. 9-13, for refreshments and a small gift of appreciation.
