United Way of Henderson County holds Days of Caring May 10-11

Press release from United Way of Henderson County:

On Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11, United Way of Henderson County will rally more than 400 volunteers for its annual Days of Caring. Designed to connect volunteers with 33 service projects at 25 local nonprofit agencies in Henderson County, Days of Caring will engage volunteers in activities that range from painting, mulching, and home repair to sorting food donations and sewing pillows for hospice patients.

WHAT: Mobilize volunteers to improve conditions and fulfill service needs at local nonprofits

WHEN: Friday, May 10, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, May 11, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

WHERE: List of projects and locations attached below.

After projects are completed on Friday, May 10, volunteers are invited to attend an afternoon celebration at Southern Appalachian Brewery from 4-6 p.m.

WHO: Teams of Henderson County volunteers from local businesses and large companies as well as individuals, families, and civic groups.
