Press release from United Way of Transylvania County:

Louis Negrón, Chief Executive Officer of United Way of Transylvania County (UWTC) invites members of the community to his inaugural Fireside Chats in March. Three Wednesdays in March offer informal conversations about the local United Way—where it is and where it should grow to address community needs.

Food Matters Market & Café, located at 1 Market Street in Brevard is hosting the March events. Community members can meet Negron upstairs, by the fireplace, on these dates:
· Wednesday, March 6, 11:30 – 1:00
· Wednesday, March 13, 3:00 – 4:30
· Wednesday, March 27, 6:30 – 8:00.

Spring water and cookies will be provided at each event. Attendees are also welcome to purchase other food items before heading upstairs to chat with Negrón.

Other informal conversation events will be scheduled at various locations throughout the county. Details will be announced separately.

“I’m excited to learn about my new community and to meet my new neighbors. I’m interested in meeting United Way donors, non-donors, and program participants. These conversations add to our community investment and planning, and will benefit our entire county,” Negrón said.
