Watercolor exhibit opens today at UNCA

Press release

From UNCA News Services:

“People and Places of Nepal,” an exhibition of watercolor paintings in the plein air style by Dhwoj Bahadur Gurung, will open with a reception from 3-5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, in the Blowers Gallery at UNC Asheville’s Ramsey Library. Both the reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public.

Gurung, traditionally named for the village of his birth, says his paintings attempt to capture the “beauty and simplicity of a last vestige of our once-pristine Earth.”

“People and Places of Nepal,” will be on view during library hours through June 30. For more information, including the library schedule, visit bullpup.lib.unca.edu/library or call 828/251-6436.
