WCQS experiencing signal interruption

Press Release

WCQS

WCQS began having problems with its signal in some areas over the weekend. We are currently off the air in Macon and Swain Counties – as well as parts of Jackson County and North Georgia. Our signals originating in Franklin, Bryson City, and Highlands are all affected. As of last night we have a restored, though not perfect, signal in Cherokee County. And just moments ago our engineer reported that service has also been restored to Transylvania County.

Our engineering team is doing everything it can to restore service as soon as possible to the other affected areas, but extreme weather conditions are hampering efforts. We share your frustration and want to be able to bring you the programming you count on. Please bear with us (and Mother Nature) until then.

We also wanted to remind folks that, if you have internet, you can hear WCQS anytime on our live stream at our web site. Go to wcqs.org
