Press release from Weston A. Price Foundation – East Asheville Chapter
The East Asheville Chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation will host a free event featuring Dave Wetzel, owner of Green Pastures, a family-owned business in Nebraska, 1:15 – 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at Toy Boat Community Art Space, 101 Fairview Road, Asheville.
Green Pasture’s focus is to provide high-quality sacred foods such as fermented cod liver oil and high-vitamin butter oil, just as they were made prior to the industrialized food and farming revolution. His presentation gives the history and nutrition of these early super foods. There will also be time for Q&A and a variety of WAPF-friendly foods from locally raised, whole food sources will be available. Wetzel will also have products to taste and purchase.
Dr. Weston A. Price, a nutrition pioneer, traveled the world studying the traditional diets of many cultures. In every culture he discovered sacred, nutrient-dense foods that were carefully collected and prepared to ensure the strong mind, body, and spirit of its people generation after generation. A non-profit, tax-exempt charity was founded in his name to further disseminate his research. To this end, the Foundation is dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods such as the foods produced by Green Pastures to the human diet through education, research and activism.
Donations are accepted for the local WAPF Chapter. For more information, call Andi at 207-577-7759, calmhealth@gmail.com or Jennifer Black at 770-365-2117.
