Wind chill advisory through Thursday noon

The National Weather Service says a wind chill advisory will be in effect from noon Wednesday until noon Thursday.

The low Wednesday night is expected to dip to 7 degrees with the high Thursday in the mid-20s, the National Weather Service says. Wind gusts of up to 40 mph are possible.

A wind chill advisory means low temperatures could result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. The weather services cautions that anyone out in the cold wear a hat and gloves.

The cold will stick around for awhile. Look for highs Friday and Saturday of about 35, according to the Weather Service.
