WNCW partners with MerleFest to present ‘MerleFest Radio Hour’

WNCW has partnered with MerleFest to present a weekly segement called ‘MerleFest Radio Hour.’ The program will offer festival news and behind-the-scenes peeks along with live performances, album tracks and interviews with artists who have played at the annual Wilkesboro festival.

“The purpose of the MerleFest Radio Hour,” WNCW’s website reads, “is to promote the music of MerleFest and to preserve the memory of Doc, Merle and RosaLee Watson.”

The first iteration of the show will air on WNCW on Sunday, July 5, at 6 p.m., and hosts Steve Johnson and Mark Bumgarner will share their own memories from the event.
