Join the Fly Fishing Staff from Headwaters Outfitters for a All Inclusive Fly Fishing Weekend at Earthshine Discovery Center in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina April 15th – 17th, 2016.
In the past 5 years, we have seen the presence and interest of women in fly fishing take off. More and more women of all ages. are finding a passion for the sport. Learning a new hobby and/or simply learning new techniques to build skills, can sometimes be overwhelming or intimidating.
The Women’s Fly Fishing Retreat, will give women of all ages and skill levels the chance to learn basic to advanced Fly Fishing techniques with professional guides in a relaxing and welcoming environment. Earthshine Mountain Lodge is nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina. Tucked away from city lights and noisy streets, Earthshine provides the perfect environment for those looking to escape for a weekend. Once guest check-in, everything else will be taken care of for them. Headwaters Outfitters staff and fly fishing guides will provide all transportation to and from the river, for two days of trout fishing on some of Western North Carolina top trout waters. Earthshine will provide comfortable lodging and home cooked meals for the weekend. Ladies are welcome to bring alcoholic beverages of their choice, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available 24-7 in main lodge.
The Saturday evening Prime Rib Banquet will be a fundraiser for Casting Carolinas, a local non-profit that provides support through fly fishing for women battling and/or recovering from cancer. During the banquet, which will also be open to public (tickets $50 per person, $90 per couple), there will be a Silent Auction with all proceeds going to Casting Carolinas.
This will be a great way for people to network with other Fly Fisherman throughout Western North Carolina and support a great organization. This is a great opportunity for women to meet other lady anglers, or bring a group of friends for a fun fishy weekend.
