Youth OutRight’s annual prom will be held Saturday June 3 starting at 7:00 PM at the Doubletree Biltmore Hotel. This year’s “Rainbow Galaxy Prom” promises to be a stellar event, with Rainbow Galaxy-themed decorations, refreshments, a photobooth by Asheville Strike-A-Pose, and music by DJ Devan. The event invites youth to bring their preferred date and to dress in whatever way they feel comfortable.
Youth OutRight is an advocacy and leadership non-profit that seeks to empower LGBTQIA+ youth. The organization’s eighth annual prom, open to LGBTQ youth 14-21, has proven to be one of the more significant events for our community, insofar as it offers an occasion where all identities and gender expressions are celebrated without stigma or judgment.
