ZaPow gallery announces move to the South Slope

After over five years in on Battery Park, Zapow gallery is moving to Coxe Avenue on Asheville’s seemingly exploding South Slope. When they lost their lease in a dramatic lease renewal rent hike and subsequent withdrawal of the offer, the gallery’s owner, Laura Patton decided it was time to seek other options. The beloved pop art gallery has now found a new home with a 10 year lease. See more details  below in the announcement below.

We will also be just down the street from the Asheville Area ArtsCouncil.
We could not have done this without the support of our amazing community including through our GoFundMe page. You all are amazing and we love you so much!
We will remain open at our current location through September 12th so still swing by and see us! Check back here, and on Twitter and Instagram at @ZaPowGallery for more information as our new place takes shape!
In Our New Space We Will Have:
  • Room to store paintings between shows and backstock for our artists who frequently sell out.
  • A backroom where we can handle all storage and packing materials.
  • Two Unisex Public bathrooms so customers can linger looking at art as long as they want.
  • An office space that will serve as recording studio and classroom.
  • A more open front area for group shows.

We will be the ground floor spot on the corner with three large front windows.
Completion is expected to be in early October.

CLAIMING YOUR REWARD IF YOU DONATED TO OUR GOFUNDME
We invite our GoFundme supporters to claim their rewards and celebrate what we have accomplished together at our Grand Re-Opening & ZaPow Group show at our new location in November. Any rewards that are not claimed on the night of the Grand Re-Opening will be shipped out the following week.

If you donated money and received credit towards an original piece of art in the ZaPow Group show Asheville:

Claim your credit at the Opening Reception or visit the show online the morning after the opening reception, pick out the piece to which you would like to apply your credit. If there is a difference between the cost of your chosen piece and your credit, we will send you an invoice that you can pay online for the difference.

WE CAN MAKE A FEW SPECIAL ACCEPTIONS
If you have a special birthday, etc. for which you planned to give your reward between now and November, we will accommodate you and ship your reward in advance post haste. We have a limited supply of prints that we can send out immediately. None of the original art has been created by our artists yet. So, if you can wait until November to claim your reward that would be ideal for your breadth of selection and our ease.
