Both events offer the opportunity to see the movie trailer, meet the film’s farmers, enter to win door prizes and enjoy farm-fresh local food.
Farm to School Cooking Conference
Tuesday, July 19, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Wilma M. Sherrill Center on the Campus of UNCA
The conference is open to community cooks, chefs and teachers who want to participate in ASAP’s Growing Minds Farm to School Cooking Program. In dynamic workshop sessions, they’ll gain the information needed to bring successful cooking classes to students. Cost is $15 and includes a light local foods breakfast and lunch. Preference is given to those in Buncombe and Jackson counties. For more information and to register, visit growing-minds.org.
