Bookend fun at The Odditorium

With many Jack Off Jill fans treating the weekend as a destination or summer vacation, the band looped in a number of talented comrades to make it the reunion they always wanted.

Los Angeles visual artist Camille Rose Garcia, a dear friend of Addams, hosts a pop-up store and signing at The Odditorium on Friday, July 17, 7-9 p.m., during which she’ll also paint a mural inside the club.

Garcia’s event will be followed, at 10 p.m., by a rare solo performance by Daisy Berkowitz (a founding member of Marilyn Manson back when that band was called the Spooky Kids). Berkowitz, whose real name is Scott Putesky, is battling cancer but will be off chemotherapy during July, perfect timing for a get-together with his old South Florida pals. “He’s been doing a few shows here and there for last few years. People say they’re mind-blowing,” Addams says.

The festivities conclude at The Odditorium on Sunday, July 19, with a 9 p.m. dance party featuring DJ sets by JD Samson (Le Tigre; The Men), Lori Barbero (Babes In Toyland), Allison Wolfe (Bratmobile; The Cold Cold Hearts) and special surprise guests. — E.A.
