North Carolina residents can sponsor or host a monitor. Sponsors choose a location and make a donation to help cover the cost, while hosts provide a safe location as well as reliable power and consistent wireless internet service. Those interested in hosting who can’t cover the $450 cost of the monitor may be matched with a sponsor. Individuals can also sign up to volunteer at monitoring events, attend educational outreach sessions and help with the upkeep of monitors.
