While constructing the learning center on their 165-acre conservation project, Robert and Marissa Goettling hired a team to oversee the creation of a trail system, permaculture gardens and a self-maintaining irrigation system. In addition to the Goettlings, local residents working on the project (currently called Ecostead Versant LLC) include permaculturists Chuck Marsh and Zev Friedman, lead landscape architect Joel Osgood, hydrocycle engineer Tim Ormond, infrastructure engineer Brandon Greenstein,  environmental designer Tim Callahan and Alembic Studio associates Josh Pettler and Luly Abraira, native plants conservationist Mateo Ryall, arborist Bill Leatherwood and Jade Mountain Builders.

Robert Goettling, who serves on the board of Organic Growers School, says future partnerships between the project and OGS are also likely.
