Asheville: The coffee table book

The latest offering from the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, Asheville: A Photographic Portrait, is a hefty slab of a book that’s here just in time for the holidays. With more than 250 pages of color photographs on glossy paper, the volume shares slices of life ranging from area artists and businesses to natural wonders and the city’s classic architecture. The book costs $52.90, and is available in the Chamber’s Asheville store (36 Montford Ave.).

Here are two of the images that are featured: Bottom-left, a photo of sculptor George Handy by Rod Reilly; bottom-right, a shot of Pritchard Park drum-circle revelers by Scott Indermaur.
