BRINGING DOWNTOWN TO LIFE: The goal of Public Interest Projects was to have lights on upstairs and business downstairs. They accomplished this early on by converting the former Asheville Hotel into upstairs apartments, while relocating Malaprop’s to the building’s renovated ground floor.
