It will be the first meeting of the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners with new commissioners K. Ray Bailey and Holly Jones, and the first with David Gantt as the chair. It’s a light one, however, with a conservation easement, the selection of a conference delegate and a few board appointments making up the agenda.
The board will consider assisting the purchase of a conservation easement for the Sycamore Valley farm in Leicester, as well as appoint a delegate to the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners legislative-goals conference.
The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, in room 204 of the Buncombe County Courthouse. A pre-meeting, including public comment, begins at 4 p.m.
