If the major items on the agenda for tonight’s meeting of the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners seem familiar, that’s because they are. The board will consider two proposals that it delayed from the Jan. 8 meeting: a request for 10 more full-time sheriff’s office employees and the appointment of a monitoring board for the pollution at the former CTS plant.
Both items were delayed because the commissioners wanted time to get more information and, in the case of the monitoring board, some more applications. The board will also hear a presentation on a new Airport Authority Agreement and weigh a community transport-planning grant.
The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. in Room 204 of the Buncombe County Courthouse. A pre-meeting, including public comment, begins at 4 p.m.
