Incentives for a manufacturer and a slew of rezonings top the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners’ agenda for tomorrow’s meeting.
The agenda specifies an economic-development incentive for Unison Engine Components, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based company whose plant in Asheville manufactures jet parts. The board has approved several incentive packages for manufacturers this year, most recently $1 million for auto-parts manufacturer Borg-Warner.
Also on the agenda are five rezoning requests, four of which are on adjoining properties on Highway 70.
The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, in room 204 of the Buncombe County Courthouse. A pre-meeting, including public comment, begins at 4 p.m.
