The National Association of Government Webmasters announced its Pinnacle Awards last week, and Buncombe County’s website won the top award.
The county’s website won top honors in the High Population category, for organizations with a population over 150,000. The award cited the website’s “clutter-free design, and incorporation of translation services and mapping features. The Buncombe County team focused on citizen interactivity by providing online access to many traditional government services.”
Buncombe County launched a new version of its website in March, attempting to better incorporate social media and make services more accessible.
