For 11th District Republicans, the election-season business of chosing delegates takes place this Saturday, April 26, at their annual convention, which will be held at Haywood Community College. Registration begins at 11 a.m., and the convention starts at noon.
The business of the day is to elect three delegates and three alternates to the Republican National Convention, and one representative as presidential elector. Following that, a debate between candidates for the 11th Congressional seat will begin around 2 p.m. (No food is being served at the convention; attendees are urged to eat before they come.)
The event is being taped for airing on URTV public-access television. For more information, call 301-9358
