Over 150 people gathered to celebrate the dedication of five new homes by the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. Open to the public, the new houses in the Habitat-built Carney Place neighborhood in West Asheville were toured and displayed before being dedicated to the recipient families. Habitat officials spoke of the long hours and monetary donations committed by family, sponsors, and the community at large before handing over ceremonial keys to the five families.
