Into the Forums

If you read but one thread from the MountainX.com forums this week, read MX Forum Channel Surfing by star-level forum poster brebro. Why? Because he turns the rambling discussions into some excellently entertaining comics. (Tenchically, they’re called fumetti, but why split hairs?)

For instance, here’s a brebro creation referring to this thread, wherein the posters rated other posters as being politically “left” or “right.”

Of course, that was hardly the only interesting content to pop up on this week’s forum. An examination of that “other” local discussion board — the Gannett-backed Topix forum — demonstrated clear differences in the online cultural divide. Meanwhile, an info-swapping thread about local resources for handmade clothing actually starting to live up to its title: the Virtual Sewing Circle. And there’s insight to be found in the thread What’s the best reason to get married?, as well as a few sarcastic replies (if you like that kind of thing).

Of course, this is just skimming the surface of this week’s discussions on the MountainX.com forums. Don’t see a discussion about that burning topic you’d like to talk about? Why not start your own?
