Asheville City Council and the Buncombe County Commissioners meet simultaneously Aug. 27 to discuss very different issues.
Council will consider millions in grants and loans from its affordable housing trust fund for a project in the Eagle/Market Street area that includes 62 affordable-housing units, along with business and community space.
Commissioners will contemplate the county’s energy policy.

Xpress needs help, too. We hope you’ll consider signing up to be a member of Xpress. For as little as $5 a month — the cost of a craft beer or kombucha — you can help keep local journalism strong. It only takes a moment.
