This week the Asheville bike company BioWheels celebrates its recent move to 81 Coxe Avenue. Store co-owner Matt Johnson says the new location, in a 1920s-era building, is Asheville’s “first commerical green renovation,” made possible by a North Carolina State Energy Improvement Loan.
As part of the celebration, on Thursday, April 17, the BioWheels Racing Team will lead a road ride beginning at 5:30 p.m., open to cyclists of all abilities. Free clinics and bike-fitting assessments will take place at the store on Friday, April 18, and Saturday will bring a parts-and-products show to the shop, with demos and in-store giveaways.
On Saturday night, the store will host a party with complimentary beer, wine and food, as well as local music.
Visit the BioWheels Web site or call 236-BIKE for details.
