Swaying with their arms interlocked near tents where they would learn about the uses of herbs, hundreds of women chanted the intention “I am surrounded by love” at the start of the Southeast Wise Women Herbal Conference.
The three-day conference held at Camp Rockmount began yesterday, Friday, Oct. 11. With more than 70 classes ranging in topic from medicinal herb uses to empowering and unleashing female sexuality, the Southeast Wise Women Herbal Conference invites women of all ages to connect with the earth and with each other. Last year, more than 1,000 women attended.
As one of the teachers at the conference sang the praises of the elderberry, another instructor taught women how express themselves without judgment through intuitive painting a few tents over.
These are a few of the posts from the women who are at the conference this weekend to learn more about the “wise woman way.”
