Time to vote for “Best of WNC”

You’ve got strong opinions on why your favorite (pick one: band, coffeehouse, bar, radio show, bike shop, tattoo parlor, salon, etc.) is — hands down — the BEST. You know quality when you see it, hear it, taste it or wear it on your arm, as the case may be. You’ve got style and taste, you know what’s what and who’s who. Or, maybe you’re just desparately trying to impress that cute person who serves you drinks by casually mentioning that you voted them “best bartender” in the Mountain Xpress Best of WNC contest. Hey, whatever works: Just go online and vote!

Yes, it’s that time of year again, when Xpress goes cross-eyed processing hundreds of Best-of ballots, and local businesses anxiously await the day they can unfurl a banner that reads, “Thanks for Voting Us Number One!” The fun part is casting a vote for your faves. The whole contest is up to you, readers.

Here’s how to cast a vote: visit this Web site, vote on at least 30 items (the fields are blank, type in your entry), submit it, and be sure to confirm it after receiving the automated e-mail confirmation request. Most importantly, do it before Sept. 19! A few things to note: We’re not accepting paper ballots this year, so you must vote online.  And please, only one survey per person. If the business or band you’re voting for really is the best, it’ll rise to the top all on its own.
