The May 6 primary proved historic, as Buncombe County voters propelled district attorney candidate Todd Williams to a landslide victory over Ron Moore, who had held the position for 24 years. After serving for 24 years as Buncombe County’s District Attorney, Ron Moore lost his job to challenger Todd Williams in a landslide Democratic primary. And in the District 3 Buncombe County commissioners race, political newcomer Miranda DeBruhl defeated incumbent David King in the Republican primary.
