The Asheville Chamber of Commerce recently produced a “Christmas Cat” video to promote the city, in hopes that they could catch some of that elusive virulence that cat memes seem to engender on the internet. Some criticism of the video was that it was too “generic” and there was nothing specifically “Asheville” about it. Therefore, since there are few familiar felines found in the film, here are some catty suggestions:

Although I noted there was nothing “specifically Asheville” about the video (there isn’t), if somehow a video of cats holding placards and looking like these felines could be produced, it would probably work quite well to attract visitors.
I thought the election was over but it seems that the Associated Press wants to slant its news(?) against our Governor McCrory and actually accuse him of financial chicanery. Where is the beef(proof) of any misconduct? Its so easy for a newsperson to allege w/o any substance anything about anyone, especially a public servant. We must remember that our Governor has had less than 2 years to clean up a situation of mismanagement in the budget and other governmental affairs by the prior administrations which had the power for YEARS.If the AP is serious about ferreting out lack of resolve they might start on our state attorney,Cooper, who has defied the wishes of our voters in his support for Obama in his amnesty for some 5000000 illegal aliens. Whose jobs will they take?Whose taxmoney will they support them? Where is the equity for those who’ve been in line legally citizenship? The answers are clear but Mr.Cooper is too busy to do his JOB because hes seeking a higher position Lets be fairer in our reporting of the negarive when there really is no negative. KG,WATSON,MV.
Meowwwww, hiss hiss.
Yes, but… cats?
Ha ha; we all know the rabid right doesn’t care what the topic might be, only that there is an opportunity to complain; here, it’s the Associated Press, the Attorney General and Obama. Not even a hint of a cat whisker, just the usual whining and sniveling unrelated to the topic. Pretty sad, really.
