Nice work. I liked the nod to Mad magazine there. A while back I noticed one of Mr. Brown’s cartoons doffed the hat to R. Crumb via the artwork, but I wrote it off as just a coincindence. Now that I see he does imitations (or impersonations?), does he take requests?

I’m hoping for a cartoon in the near future impersonating The Family Circus’ artwork, or maybe even a snide allusion to Molton’s style?

Well done, Brent! I’m sure that Don Martin would be flattered. I’m glad you included Fester Bestertester in panel 3.

I AS A CARTOONIST AND AN ORIGINAL ONE….THINK IT IS NOT A RESPECTFUL NOD TO DON MARTIN CAUSE HE GAVE NO CREDIT….THOSE CHARACTERS ARE HIS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.IN THE FUTURE MAYBE A TRUE SHOUT OUT TO THE ACTUAL CREATORS WOULD BE COOL…OTHERWISE IT’S THEFT…THE VOID OF CREATIVITY.

I have followed Mr. Brown’s artwork for 30 years.
If there is anything he is NOT lacking, it would be creativity!
He is probably one of THE most creative people I have ever known.

He is obviously paying homage to Don Martin here.
