Everyone has a breaking point

Cruelty is now the result of the legislature and the governor's ambition. Shifting the tax burden from the wealthy and businesspeople onto the rest of us will cause North Carolina to crumble economically, even further contrary to the lies promoted by Republicans.

The cavalier and callous attitude of the GOP is on display for all to see. The least among us will be hurt the most. At least Rev. William Barber of the NAACP is taking action. Civil disobedience has netted about 100 arrests so far. I am waiting for him to propose and implement an economic boycott of this state.

North Carolina is intolerant of women, children, young adults and all people of color. As a start, this summer is the time to turn back all tourists. Letting others know about the hateful attitudes prevalent here is all it will take. What I fear the most is a stronger pushback. Actions that will go far beyond civil disobedience.

I know there are people who are incensed that public officials think they are above the fray and can do as they please without consequence. Everyone has a breaking point. What's yours? What will you do?
