Ticket Giveaway! Asheville Choral Society and the Asheville Symphony Chorus’, Light and Life, April 29

Behold the raw power of a sea of trained voices. A rare opportunity for lovers of choral music is coming up when singers from the Asheville Choral Society and the Asheville Symphony Chorus join forces to celebrate spring with sound and bring epic choral music to Western North Carolina. The concert, dubbed Light and Life, will bring together more than 200 singers and more than 30 instrumentalists for an exhilarating event

Featuring major works from two favorite, contemporary American composers, this performance is sure to wow. Requiem for the Living, Dan Forrest’s lofty tribute to hope for comfort and the joy of life. Morten Lauridsen, (known for O Magnum Mysterium), has newer piece also to be performed, Lux Aeterna (“eternal light”), which projects words of reassurance and comfort with a luxurious and emotive choral arrangements.
