Ticket Giveaway: Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band

Got any plans for Thursday, November 12? If the answer’s “no” then read on. If the answer is “yes”, then perhaps you’d like to reschedule them—and read on—because it’s going to be Funk:30 all evening long at the Orange Peel!  Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band will be taking the stage to bump intergalactic, head-bangin’ beats on a fall tour in support of their third studio album Funk Life.

But that isn’t all:  YMBFBB will be followed up by New Orleans-based funk outfit Galactic!

Wanna go? We’ve got two pairs of tickets here at Xpress, but you’re going to have to earn them:

Write a review of any artist, venue, or band who won in the Arts & Entertainment section of the 2015 Best Of WNC poll, and let us know in the comments field below whom you reviewed!

    I reviewed the Echo Mountain Recording Studio, where YMBFBB recorded “Funk Life”, their latest album-and it’s some fire! Oh and can’t forget Widespread Panic, my jam, just recorded their latest- “Street Dogs” at Echo Mountain Studio as well! I’m an NC native who used to live in Asheville, and I am happy to know the old church on Patton Ave was turned into this awesome studio. It’s a great addition to the city for all the very talented music around. And I’m making a trip Tuesday thru Friday up to Asheville and I would love to win tickets to see this amazing show with Galactic (another favorite funk band of mine). Tix would help tremendously, bc I’ve got my folks hooked on listening to YMBFBB and they have already told me they would love seeing the show while in town. And getting them to go to our first show all together would be epic!!!. Much thanks for the opportunity to win! :)
