“Being a good photographer, in general, is being able to capture a good photograph under any conditions,” says photographer Tim Robison. “Being a food photographer also means finding and capturing the moment in a dish that makes someone want to eat it.”
Hannah Dansie’s show The Fishwife — opening at The Satellite Gallery on Friday, Aug. 7 — was named after a story from a Grimm’s fairytale book that was read to her as a child. It includes contributions from local artists Alli Good, Sarah Cavalieri, Gus Cutty, Maxx Hawthorne-Fiest, Andy Herod, Nicole McConville, Josie Mosser, Lauren Patton and Ian Wilkinson.
The collection aims to evoke thoughts on both individual experience and the “collective unconscious” as they relate to the colorful spectrum of dream states.
