Sorry, Hillary, but you lost my vote.
There was a time for leadership. It was when Bush/Cheney wanted to use the military to gain control of Iraq’s oil, but they couldn’t do it without you.
Who were the leaders? Kofi Annan, the United Nations, Germany, France, Hans Blix and the inspectors searching for the weapons of mass destruction.
And how did you vote?
You may have the political connections, but you lost my vote.

Thanks for reading through to the end…
We share your inclination to get the whole story. For the past 25 years, Xpress has been committed to in-depth, balanced reporting about the greater Asheville area. We want everyone to have access to our stories. That’s a big part of why we've never charged for the paper or put up a paywall.
We’re pretty sure that you know journalism faces big challenges these days. Advertising no longer pays the whole cost. Media outlets around the country are asking their readers to chip in. Xpress needs help, too. We hope you’ll consider signing up to be a member of Xpress. For as little as $5 a month — the cost of a craft beer or kombucha — you can help keep local journalism strong. It only takes a moment.
I second Dan Stitt’s words. For me, Barack Obama is the only real choice.
Hillary put political pandering ahead of the good of the nation, and hundreds of thousands of people died for her unwillingness to stand up against George Bush’s push to war.
Worse yet, she didn’t even learn her lesson. As Jim Webb of Virginia pointed out, her recent vote on Iran (the Kyl-Lieberman ammendment) was Dick Cheney’s fondest pipe dream. Once again, she helped the neocons lay the foundation for war rather than standing up for what is right.
