Primordial Tradition is a nonprofit organization devoted to making the ancient western tradition of sacred wisdom available to people today. Its focus is on providing access to teachings and meditation practices used by the ancient Greek philosophers to create this culture we now live in.
Primordial Tradition offers lectures and regular meetings for “incubation,” a form of meditation used by the ancients to discover stillness, wisdom and the divine inside themselves. These timeless practices have been forgotten or hidden away through the centuries, but are still alive, and Primordial Tradition works to make them available to people of all creeds and backgrounds.
The driving force behind Primordial Tradition is Peter Kingsley, a classical scholar and teacher recognized throughout the world by academics as well as spiritual luminaries. Spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle says, “To understand Peter Kingsley is to be transformed. His teaching is a journey back to the Source within you.”
Kingsley himself says, “This tradition matters to us now more than we can imagine because it contains inside itself the secret—the original meaning and sacred purpose—of the world we live in.”
Kingsley will give a talk on “The Great Secret: Rediscovering Our Sacred Origins,” Wednesday, April 1, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Jubilee!, 46 Wall St. in Asheville. All are welcome; donations may be of any amount.
