An Evening with Wiley Cash, Aug. 24
Following his debut success A Land More Kind Than Home, which earned accolades such as New York Times Notable Book of the Year; IndieNext Pick; SIBA Fiction of the Year; and was a PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize Finalist, Wiley Cash once again delivers a heartfelt and gripping narrative in his new novel, THIS DARK ROAD TO MERCY.
Please join the Cathedral of All Souls Arts Commission for An Evening with Wiley Cash. In a discussion facilitated by his former teacher and mentor Dr. David Hopes, Mr. Cash will discuss his latest book and his approach to fiction writing.
WHEN: Sunday, August 24 at 4:00 p.m.
WHERE: The Sanctuary of the Cathedral of All Souls, Biltmore Village
COST: Donations gladly accepted. Proceeds go to the Literacy Council of Buncombe County.
A reception with the author will follow in Owen Library. Books will be available for purchase.
A Gastonia native, Cash is returning to his North Carolina roots this fall when he and his wife move to Wilmington. He holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he studied fiction writing under Ernest J. Gaines. He has held residency positions at Yaddo and the MacDowell Colony and teaches in the low- residency MFA program at Southern New Hampshire University.
