Writers at Home series begins Sept. 21
Faculty members in UNC Asheville’s Great Smokies Writing Program will read from their work in the next installment of the Writers at Home series. The reading begins at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 21, at Malaprop’s Bookstore/Café, 55 Haywood St., downtown Asheville, and is free and open to the public.
Tina Barr, Marjorie Klein, Vicki Lane, Elizabeth Lutyens, Joy Neaves, Dale Neal, Heather Newton, Katey Schultz and Katherine Soniat will present their recent works in fiction, creative nonfiction and poetry.
All presenters are currently leading classes in The Great Smokies Writing Program, which offers workshops for writers of all levels in which their skills and talents can be explored, practiced, and forged under the careful eye of professional writers.
