Welcome roots-rock quartet Oleander Tea Company to the local music scene (they’ve been together for about a year). The band is lead singer Melissa Pasciolla, Colin Olsen on bass, Laura Sparks on drums and guitarist/vocalist Scotty Conant.
Their sound feels instantly familiar (in a good way!) — crisp, jazzy percussion and clear, tasteful guitar licks paired with subtle, funky baselines and Pasciolla’s dusky torch-song vocals. “Every member contributes a bit of their own savory flavor to this dark, sunny mix,” says the band’s bio — and their sound is one that showcase’s each musician’s talent.
