If you missed Steep Canyons Rangers’ CD released show at Pisgah Brewing last month, here’s the good news: The band has launched a rigorous tour schedule to support their album, Nobody Knows You.
And here’s the even better news: The play close to home at the end of this month. On Saturday, June 30, the locally-based bluegrass band (who were nominated for a Grammy this year for Rare Bird Alert with Steve Martin) plays the eighth annual Red, White and Bluegrass Festival.
The festival’s official dates are Sunday, July 1-Wednesday, July 4 at Morganton, N.C.‘s Catawba Meadow’s Park. Saturday, June 30 is Fan Appreciation Day — a free concert for those ticket holders who arrive early. The lineup includes ToneBlazers, Monroeville, Cody Shuler & Pine Mountain Railroad, US Navy Band and The Boxcars starting at 12:30 p.m. Steep Canyon Rangers headline at 8 p.m., followed by a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
Tickets are $25 per day or $70 for four days in advance, through Friday, June 29. Admission at the gate is $30 and $85.
