Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Mills River announced today that it’s readying for a major hiring push to staff its new taproom and restaurant. According to an email from the company’s beer ambassador, Bill Manlely, the Chico, Calif.-based brewery is seeking to fill at total of 150 slots.
“We’re looking to add an additional 150 staff members in both front-of-the-house, back-of-the-house and supervisor positions — effectively doubling the number of employees here at the brewery,” Manley says in his email. “Among the positions we’re eager to fill are an experienced pizza cook to work with our wood-fired oven and a bakery/pastry manager to oversee baked goods.”
The taproom and restaurant are slated to open to the public in the first quarter of 2015. Manley says Sierra Nevada’s taproom and restaurant at its facility in California offers “a wide variety of beer-friendly food focusing on local, seasonal and sustainable meat and produce,” adding that “we source many of our ingredients from our organic estate garden at the brewery itself.”
Manley says the Mills River restaurant will follow suit with plans for onsite gardens and a greenhouse for supplying organic produce for its menu.
