Asheville chef and pit master Elliott Moss heads to Decatur, Ga., this weekend to grace the Peach State with some of his beloved whole-hog barbecue. Moss, who is currently heading up the temporary enterprise The Thunderbird out of MG Road, is awaiting the opening of his new venture, Buxton Hall, a whole-hog barbecue restaurant slated to open in the near future in Asheville’s South Slope neighborhood.

Barbecue Lovers Near and Far,
Take heed, our friend and collaborator chef Elliott Moss is bringing the goods to Atlanta. The gents at Kimball House have invited him to set up shop on their lawn for an afternoon of barbecue cooked the right way: whole-hog slow-cooked over-night with all-wood embers. Catch him on MLK weekend, Sunday, January, 18th for a BBQ lunch on the patio outside. The weather forecast is calling for some pretty epic January weather, with a high of 60 and sunny skies. Also, don’t miss saying hi to some of our gang from MG Road who will be coming down to help Elliott out with some fine cocktails on draft and in bottles. We can’t wait.
