Seven Sows chef to participate in Hickory fundraising dinner

Todd Woods, chef de cuisine at Seven Sows Bourbon and Larder, will return to his old stomping grounds in Hickory, N.C., in a couple of weeks to join his friend and former coworker, chef Kyle McKnight, for his annual Kyle and Friends Chef Dinner. The Monday, March 23, event will bring in chefs from as far afield as Atlanta and Middleburg, Va. to prepare a dinner at McKnight’s Highland Avenue restaurant. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Hickory Soup Kitchen.

Tickets are $125 each. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are available here.

We are thrilled to announce a special March Chefs dinner at Highland Avenue Restaurant.  The March 23 Kyle and Friends Chef Dinner includes chefs Kyle McKnight and Sam Stachon from Highland Avenue, Pastry Chef Rebeca Alvarado Parades and Executive Chef Jameson Chavez from manna in Wilmington, Executive Chef/Owner James Doss from Rx and Pembroke’s in Wilmington, Executive Chef/Owner Jason Smith from 18 Seaboard, Harvest 18 and Cantina 18 in Raleigh-Durham, Chef de Cuisine Todd Woods from Seven Sows in Asheville,  Executive Chef Stephen Sharp from Ink and Elm in Atlanta, and Chef de Cuisine Chris Edwards from Salamander Resort and Spa in Middleburg, Virginia.

The event starts with a cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres at The Crossing at Hollar Mill where guests have the opportunity to mingle with chefs, and culminates in a dinner to remember at Highland Avenue Restaurant.  Tickets are $125 per person. Doors open at 6pm.
