Eight Days of Food Trucks event to benefit youth in foster homes

The Buncombe County Service Foundation will host the Eight Days of Food Trucks fundraiser featuring one food truck per day Wednesday, Dec. 11 – Friday, Dec. 13 and Monday, Dec. 16 – Friday, Dec. 20 at 35 Woodfin St. in downtown Asheville. The trucks will be serving food from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. each day, rain or shine.

Eight local food trucks will participate in the fundraising effort including: The Low Down, Gypsy Queen Cuisine, Doc Brown’s BBQ, Pho Ya Belly, Farm to Fender, Bom Bus, El Kimchi and Taste and See. A percentage of every sale will support children in foster care for the holidays and other special occasions. The trucks accept cash and credit cards.

The Buncombe County Service Foundation’s mission is to enhance Buncombe County by strengthening services that contribute to the health, wellness and quality of life for its citizens.
